# $TBA Token

The powerhouse of Turbo Battle Arena, **$TBA** will be the gateway to all win-to-earn modes and in-game purchases. Unleash the power of the blockchain with gaming rewards that players can take with them when they leave the game, or use to power up their TBA NFT characters with new skins, weapons, armor, and more!

At game mainnet launch, players will be required to hold a specified amount of **$TBA** tokens in their wallet in order to access the win-to-earn games. Here **$TBA** serves as the entrance pass to reward-based games. In phase two, **$TBA** tokens will be the exclusive token deposited into the game to purchase more **Eggs.**

The TBA community will also be rewarded on-chain with a staking and governance dApp. Rewards for stakers will be payed from fees collected through NFT purchases and in-game asset purchases. TBA will also hold periodic and random airdrops of tokens and NFTs to stakers. The amount of potential rewards are based on the number of tokens staked compared to other community members and the XP earned from length of time staked. Decisions about which gaming components to prioritize in development, which characters to feature in the next NFT season, and how to distribute fees to the community will go to a vote of **$TBA** stakers. In this way non-gamers are also able to participate in a vibrant gaming community.&#x20;

**$TBA** will launch on a well-established Ethereum Layer-2 to leverage low fees and fast transactions. There are numerous L2s to choose from with many factors that went into consideration. We are a project that must carefully balance the needs of crypto-naïve gamers unfamiliar with volatile gas fees and transaction speeds and crypto-savvy traders traders who want to participate in the token economy on a blockchain with robust liquidity. [Polygon](https://polygon.technology/) meets both of these requirements while also offering an array of tool kits for game developers that will allow us to build at a pace that matches the speed of Web3 innovation.
